INTO City

INTO City is a program that offers progression to City St George's. This page details what you can access as a student studying with the organisation that is linked to City St George's.

City St George's, University of London considers INTO City students as 'occasional students', this means you are automatically 'associate members' of the Students' Union.

All our 'associate members' are entitled to use Union services and facilities, and how associate memberships to Union clubs, societies and community projects. Below are the details of our services, and specifics of what you can access:

Events

  • The Union organises events for Welcome and other periods across the year.

  • Most events require a paid or ‘free’ ticket which can be sorted through the Union website.

  • INTO City students may attend Union events, there may be some events that are 18+ due to legal reasons.

  • INTO City students must make a guest account on our website to purchase or organise tickets for events.

Societies

  • The Union supports over 100 societies on the Clerkenwell campus.

  • These societies run events and other activities in person and online.

  • All INTO City students required to buy an ‘Associate Membership’ for the society they want to be part of.

  • There may be some activity which is 18+ for legal reasons.

Sports Clubs

  • The Union supports over 25 clubs to play sport.

  • The clubs train, practice and socialise around campus and across London.

  • The clubs participate in local and national leagues.

  • Can only attend training / socials.

  • National league rules do not allow non-students to participate in league games.

  • Any student under the age of 16 would require supervision from an appropriate adult.

  • There may be some restrictions on activity that requires students to be 18+.

Social Sports

  • The Union runs a program called ‘Get Active’ which provides social sports games for students on and around campus.

  • The program runs during term time and aims to improve wellbeing, community and belonging.

  • INTO City students may attend.

  • Any student under the age of 16 would require supervision from an appropriate adult.

Advice

  • The Union provides academic and money advice to students who are studying at City St George’s.

  • INTO City students cannot access this service as their courses are not governed by the same policies and regulations.

Representation

  • The Union organises the Programme Representative structure to ensure student voice is heard at the university.

  • The Union organises opportunities over the year for students to give feedback on their experiences at the university.

  • INTO City students are not full members of the Union so cannot access this.

Democracy

  • The highest decision-making body of the Union is the Assembly which is made up of elected students.

  • The Union runs an annual election for students to elect their President and Deputy Presidents.

  • INTO City students are not full members of the Union so cannot access this or vote in elections.

Union Shop

  • The Union has two shop’s with branded hoodies, bags, confectionary, food and other stationary.

  • INTO City students can purchase items from the shop via our website or in person.

Dragon Bar, Tooting site

  • The Union runs a licensed bar on the Tooting site.

  • INTO City students can use the bar if they are 18+.
