The main purpose of Sikh Society is to create a comfortable setting for students across the university and to bring them together. As the committee, we aspire to create a "home away from away" environment. Across the UK, there are approximately 50 university and college Sikh Societies. This year, we will be working very closely to them to connect Sikh students nationwide.
Throughout the years, Sikh Societies across the UK have become well known for their events including Kirtan Darbars, Chaa & Chat and the infamous Langar on Campus. Through these events we aim to represent the three pillars of Sikhi and we keep these in mind when planning events.
