Welcome to MedTech Society!
The MedTech Society at City University of London is at the forefront of integrating Biomedical engineering and Biotechnology with transformative healthcare solutions. Established and led by a driven team of engineering students and PhD graduates, our objective is to foster a deep understanding and application of medical technologies among our members.
We specialise in developing innovative projects, notably our work on photoplethysmography (PPG), which provides hands-on experience in designing and engineering critical healthcare devices. Our activities extend beyond project work to include expert-led workshops, tailored mentorship programs, and guest lectures from industry and academic leaders in MedTech and Biotech. These initiatives are designed to strengthen our members' academic foundations while expanding their professional networks and exposure to real-world applications. Dedicated to nurturing future leaders in medical technology, the MedTech Society serves as a dynamic platform for collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. We welcome students, professionals, and organizations interested in the intersection of engineering and healthcare to join us in shaping the future of medical technology.
