Student Communities & Events (Student Societies and Sports)
Double funding for societies - raise it to £20,000 per year • Ban teaching on Wednesday afternoon • Re-Open City bar for students and events, we need more space! • More power for societies: card readers, debit cards and booking software for society committees
Cost of Living Crisis
£3 breakfast, lunch & dinner: cooked breakfasts, large & healthy lunch and dinner • Affordable accommodation on campus; freeze rents in City University accommodation, protect students from predatory hikes! • Upgrade the travel bursary to cover more students. TFL is too expensive!
Education and Academic Priorities
Put students at every level of university decision-making • Take back control: give power to the Students' Union • Balanced timetables: no 1-hour days, no rammed days • Let students learn - stop imposing teaching methods methods, share tutorial solutions and recorded lectures.
