Omre Urmani

Make the merger work for all

Priorities
I’m Omre, a medical student and current Assembly Member. As the first representative from St George’s since the merger, I’ve worked to amplify our voices. I’m committed to improving event organisation, ensuring St George’s students are prioritised, and strengthening our place within City St George’s during this vital transition.
Student Communities & Events (Student Societies and Sports)
I will push for a structured, transparent event organisation process, ensuring better coordination between the SU, societies, and student groups. This means clearer guidelines, more student input, and a system that makes events more inclusive, accessible, and successful.
Other (please specify in the box below):
Strengthening the Voice of St. George’s Students-St. George’s students must not be overlooked. I will advocate for our needs, from resources and funding to representation in key decisions. I’ll ensure our voices are heard and we remain a priority within the newly merged community.
Other (please specify in the box below):
Building a Stronger Community-Merger brings challenges and opportunities. I’ll work to improve integration while preserving St. George’s identity. Through joint initiatives, better communication, and increased collaboration, we’ll create a united student body that benefits from both institutions.
