The AGM is an important part of the Union’s democracy and it had 182 students in attendance, the most in recent years.
City University London Students’ Union (the Union) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 17th November 2016. The AGM is an important part of the Union’s democracy and it had 182 students in attendance, the most in recent years. There were opportunities for students to question the Union on its activities over the last year as well as debate the 15 student motions.
All 15 student motions were passed by the AGM and include:

- Embed Employability In The Curriculum
- Opposing Fascism In The Media
- Programme Representatives – Training, Support and Rewards
- Prayer Facilities For Evenings and Weekends
- Welfare Provisions And Mental Health
- Boycott, Divestment And Sanctions (BDS)
- A Response To Brexit
- Islamophobia
- Hidden Course Costs
- Why Is My Curriculum White?
- Societies Resources
- Library Opening Hours And Resources
- Lecture Capture For All Courses
- Computer Labs
A number of motions passed are committing resources of the Union and will need the further consideration of the Board of Trustees.
The Union will make the unconfirmed minutes of the AGM available online when they have been completed.
The Union is having a General Meeting at 5.30pm 9th February and we encourage all members of the Union to attend, propose motions, debate and vote. More information will be circulated in January.
