City’s own student-led radio station is now online! As of January the new Students’ Union Radio Room is now equipped, set up and ready to go! In addition to the online podcasts accessible now, Carrot Radio plans to broadcast live shows within the coming semester.

City Carrot Radio empowers our students by establishing a creative hub within the University allowing students to express themselves through audio means and builds up their confidence in the process.

I believe that bringing students together and giving them a voice is important in creating a University identity that can then be promoted to potential new students. A fully-functioning radio station can help create a deeper connection with the community. An online radio station will benefit all the Student groups, Student leaders and Faculties, for instance, to promote sports games, player interviews, promoting events, Societies and so on.

This has only been possible thanks to determination and hard work of students involved in setting up Carrot Radio, especially from leaders Winston, Jordan and Luke.

We would especially like to thank the Journalism Department Technical Team, for their expertise and extensive assistance in equipping the Students’ Union’s new Radio Room.
