Our first ever Cost of Living Summit – Assembly Meeting is happening next Monday 21st of November from 4:30pm and you are invited!
The summit will be happening at Northampton Suite (in the University Building on the 3rd floor – the floor upstairs from the Student Centre). There will be plenty of refreshments and food for all students.
The summit will start with a Panel event focused around Cost of Living and what it means for students at City and in Higher Education – we have invited:
- Bell Ribeiro-Addy (Labour MP for Streatham),
- Councillor Diarmaid Ward (from Islington Council),
- Jim Dickinson (WonkHE)
- Susannah Quinsee (Vice-President Digital and Student Experience)
- Sian Thurgood (Director of Student Experience)
- Aaminah Patel (City Students' Union Deputy President)
The panellists will be providing an informative update on the plans for City, University of London, but also for the community and nation to tackle the current Cost of Living crisis. After the panel, all students in attendance will be encouraged to discuss the next steps for actions.
At the end of the event, we will be providing dinner for all students in attendance.
