‘Good’ Green Impact Award achieved by the Students’ Union.

We have received a Good rating for this year's Green Impact Award.

homie

City Students’ Union has been awarded ‘Good’ in the Green Impact Awards, which this year were run by SOS UK. The award is in recognition of our sustainability work this academic year, by the organisation, officers and staff.

Some highlights of our work this year: delivering sustainability training to Programme Reps with City's Sustainability Team, working with officers on campaigns around the UN Sustainable Development Goals and reducing our paper use within the Union.

We have also had a number of sustainability focused policies proposed, voted on and passed by students this year; a great example of the importance of sustainability here at City.

We are proud to have achieved the Good award this year and are looking forward to working towards the Very Good rating next academic year. We have already begun our work for 2020/21 and if there is anything you would like to see us do on sustainability, let us know by emailing studentsunion@city.ac.uk.
