Student Policies:
Student Council voted to pass the following policies:
- Creating the Bye-Laws of City, University of London Students’ Union
This Policy looks to adopt the newly introducted bye-laws of City Students' Union formally, since it's incorporation into a separate legal entity from the University in August. The bye-laws are able to be seen here.
- Creating a Physical Space for the Graduate School
This Policy looks to campaign for the University to introduce a separate communal space for Graduate students, including a one-stop space for information. This looks to enhance and build the Graduate Community by working with the University's Graduate School.
- Introducting a Postgraduate Taught Officer
This Policy looks to separate the role of Graduate School Officer into a Postgraduate Research Officer and create a new Postgraduate Taught Officer to the Students' Union's Executive Committee. Both of these new Officer positions will be elected in our Main Leadership Elections, happening in February and March.
You can find a copy of the full papers from the meeting, including reports and motions, here.
The next Student Council meeting will be taking place in B200 from 5pm on Tuesday 6th February.
