Learning Enhancement Award Winners Announced

This year's Learning Enhancement Awards were held in the Northampton Suite on the 9th May, and recognised those academic and student support staff who students think have made a huge difference to their City experience this year.

This year's Learning Enhancement Awards Ceremony was held in the Northampton Suite on the 9th May, with the Awards given out at a glitzy and lavish celebration of great teaching and student support. Umar Yunas-Chaudhery, The Students' Union's VP Education who compered the event, said:

"The Learning Enhancement Awards is a fantastic opportunity for students to nominate their favourite staff members and Programme Reps who have supported them to enrich student experience. Student experience is important for both the Union and University, as more and more students are not only coming here to study, but to find, join and create communities that fit around their lifestyle, personalities and hobbies. The awards ceremony last night was something special. It was truly an honour to be the host of the awards and I can truthfully say this was one of the highlights of my year as Vice-President (Education). It was wonderful and inspiring to see staff and programme reps enjoying and celebrating their own successes. I would like to thank the students, Programme Reps, University and Union staff for their continued support. Particular thanks go to Pam Parker, Hester Wellings, Laura Dickens and Craig Stewart".

The Learning Enhancement Awards are nominated by students to recognise those academic and student support staff who students think have made a huge difference to their City experience this year. 352 nominations were recieved from students for 198 staff and 17 Programme Reps.
