Academic Impact - October

academic impact

We hope you have had a great start to the Academic Year.

As a students’ union our mission is straightforward: to Make Every Day Better for City St George's students of all backgrounds and across all campus sites. One way we do is by representing your academic interests and positively impacting your academic experience.

The activity we deliver is linked to our strategy and this can be viewed here

Since the beginning of term one, Your students’ union has:

  • Delivered six School Meet & Greet events during Welcome Week.
  • Delivered the first nap pod to improve your wellbeing - funded by City St George’s University of London
  • Awarded £4,700 to students since the launch of the Alternative Faith Fund this summer
  • Had 6500+ students attend fresher's fair
  • Delivered a new Water Fountain in the Dragon Bar in Tooting - installed by City St George’s, University of London

In more positive news, you may recall that last year that your students’ union campaigned and secured £180k of funding from the University to bring bidets onto campus. You will be pleased to know that work to install bidets in the main University Building toilet block began this week and work will be completed before the end of this term.

Each month we will be highlighting how we are representing your academic interests and positively impacting your academic experience, so please check back here or click through the link in the weekly newsletter.
